I've been debating whether or not this has enough to do with the theme of this blog to post here, (and I'm sure most of you have probably already seen this - it has over a million views and has been around less than a week) but I have always loved Doctor Who (I've wanted to be his companion since I was 6). Besides, it's for a good cause: the more people who sign the petition to get Michael Aranda back into England  the sooner the new Chameleon Circuit album comes out and the less time Michael Aranda has too cool his heels in France - although, if you have to be stuck somewhere...

Today is Shakespeare's 447th Birthday! I was asked by Elizabeth Woledge from HappyBirthdayShakespeare.com to talk about how Shakespeare has influenced my life.  

Seeing Carmen inspired me to do a post about one of my favorite subjects, Femme Fatales. What is a femme fatale you might ask? 
Wikipedia describes them as "A femme fatale (pronounced /ˌfɛm fəˈtæl/ or /ˌfɛm fəˈtɑːl/; French: [fam faˈtal], with all [a]'s) is a mysterious and seductive woman[1] whose charms ensnare her lovers in bonds of irresistible desire, often leading them into compromising, dangerous, and deadly situations."
