I've been debating whether or not this has enough to do with the theme of this blog to post here, (and I'm sure most of you have probably already seen this - it has over a million views and has been around less than a week) but I have always loved Doctor Who (I've wanted to be his companion since I was 6). Besides, it's for a good cause: the more people who sign the petition to get Michael Aranda back into England the sooner the new Chameleon Circuit album comes out and the less time Michael Aranda has too cool his heels in France - although, if you have to be stuck somewhere...
The sound is not quite synced up with the image, which is mildly amusing, and the still frame looks like it is from a horror film, but here is today's video blog ; ) Today is Shakespeare's 447th Birthday! I was asked by Elizabeth Woledge from HappyBirthdayShakespeare.com to talk about how Shakespeare has influenced my life. Seeing Carmen inspired me to do a post about one of my favorite subjects, Femme Fatales. What is a femme fatale you might ask? Wikipedia describes them as "A femme fatale (pronounced /ˌfɛm fəˈtæl/ or /ˌfɛm fəˈtɑːl/; French: [fam faˈtal], with all [a]'s) is a mysterious and seductive woman[1] whose charms ensnare her lovers in bonds of irresistible desire, often leading them into compromising, dangerous, and deadly situations." I think this song by Emma Wallace (and amazing video editing by Vespersaw) explains it fairly well: What are your thoughts on Femme Fatales? Do you know any real life femme fatales? Would you like to be one? Are you one? Who are your favorite femme fatales? Please comment below and let me know! Here are some of my favorites: Don't these woman make you wish you could be just that amazing? They are all so cool, confident, and witty with just a hint of vulnerability making them irrisistable and keeping them human. |
