I went to see Carmen at the Lyric Opera in Chicago on Thursday. Here is my video blog about it, and yes, I absolutely loved it.
As you may have noticed, we have a new web designer and a lovely new web design!!! I real love it. I think it suits our company. Thank you to Gene Harding-Thrower for all of his brilliant, hard work. Please comment below and let us know what you think! Isn't the design fantastic? Its it easy enough to read? A friend of mine just started a new blog last night and I thought it was so fun that I had to share it with you. Oliver James' new blog is called Cacophonous Serenity (don't you just love that name?) and it is witty and geeky in the best way. Oliver is also one of our actors, which he references in his post. I do have news for you! We have been asked to have a special performance of As You like It at Benedictine University on April 11th! Click on our Home Page for more information! So, you will have one more chance to see As You Like It and, since we are donating this performance to Benedictine University, it will be free! Come and enjoy Shakespeare with us!!! This is the last weekend to see As You Like It! We've had a great run so far; everyone has given their all, and it could not have been better. Last Monday was Industry Night, so we decided to experiment a bit and had the cast sit in the audience for the production. Instead of leaving the stage, cast members remained in the audience except during costume changes, and just stood up and started their lines out of nowhere. It got even better when cast members *offstage* started reacting to what was being said *onstage*. Touchstone in particular was mortally offended. Here are some photos from that show: Come see us tonight!! If you feel like having an adventure, take a trip down Lower Wacker Drive. I haven’t been down there in a while and thought it might be fast at two in the morning, but lo and behold it was like a dirt road in the middle of a Metropolis. I had fun dodging and weaving around various pillars, cones, and construction workers (who found my presence rather amusing). It was all very post-apocalyptic and exciting; it seemed as if aliens had indeed invaded and the city was crumbling in upon itself. It was a completely different world. |
